In Antalya, pool-side furniture faces a long season of strong sun, chlorinated pool water and, on the coast, salty air. For a hotel in Belek, Lara–Kundu, Side, Kemer or Alanya, a sun lounger is also moved, wiped and covered with wet towels every single day.
Frame material
Polypropylene is the most common frame material by the pool: it doesn't rust, it is light and easy to clean.
- Tilia's Mare has its frame, backrest and transport wheels in UV-stabilised, pigmented, glass-fibre polypropylene.
- Siesta's Casablanca is made of glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene using gas injection.
Seating surface: sling or cushion?
Sling surfaces dry quickly and are practical for guests coming out of the pool. Mare's sling is applied seamlessly with ultrasonic welding and, according to the product data, is resistant to UV and to abrasive chemicals such as salt and chlorine. Solis is a light option with a 3-position backrest and Phifertex sling surface.
Cushioned loungers are softer, but the cushions need to be collected in the evening and stored dry.

Side tables and tables
Small side tables between loungers hold towels, drinks and phones; Siesta's Mykonos Side Table suits this well. For pool bars and terraces, Cast Garden's powder-coated cast aluminium tables, such as the Q75 Round Table, are a sturdy choice.
Daily care
- Rinse off chlorine and salt residue regularly with fresh water.
- Store cushions indoors at night and in rain.
- At the end of the season, clean the furniture and stack it in a dry place.
