Woven rattan lounge sets bring a warm look to hotel gardens, villa terraces and café lounge areas. Because of the weave and cushions, their care differs slightly from flat-surfaced furniture.
Know the sets
Dengema's woven rattan sets Alya and Ela come in Brown Rattan and Grey Rattan. Each set includes a table (120×70×66 cm), a three-seat sofa (160×60×90 cm) and two armchairs (60×60×90 cm).
The aluminium-framed Riga and Maya sets, in Anthracite and Cappuccino, offer a flat-surfaced alternative to the weave.
Cleaning during the season
- Remove dust from the weave with a soft brush or a vacuum brush attachment.
- Wipe with a cloth dampened in mildly soapy water, then rinse with clean water.
- Let the furniture dry completely, making sure no water stays in the weave.
- Wipe up spilled drinks straight away.
Cushions
- Try not to leave cushions out in the rain or overnight.
- Dry wet cushions upright in a well-ventilated place.
- Follow the washing instructions for covers; don't wring the foam.
Preparing for winter
1. Clean the furniture and dry it completely.
2. Store cushions and pillows separately in a dry, ventilated place.
3. Store the furniture indoors if possible.
4. If it stays outside, use a breathable cover. Airtight plastic covers trap moisture and can cause mould.
5. Don't put heavy objects on woven surfaces.
When spring comes
After removing the cover, wash and dry the furniture once and check the weave for loosening or damage. If you see a problem, contact us; our products have a 2-year warranty.
